New ANU Standards, Guidelines and Templates Released for Animal Based Research
These documents have been approved by the AEEC and can be referenced (title, number and version) in applications where there is no deviation from the published version. We hope this saves applicants some time in preparing their applications and provides consistency across ANU animal based research.
The list of recently released documents is below and they can be viewed on our website under the "Documents" heading. Work is continuing to increase the number of up to date and approved documents available.

Updated Amendment and Annual Review Forms
The Animal Ethics Amendment Form was updated May 2020, and the Annual Review form was updated June 2020. Make sure you are using the most up-to-date version by using the version on our website.

Microchipping Research Animals in Tasmania
Tasmania has increased competency and assessment requirements for research staff undertaking the microchipping of animals in Tasmania.
An initial assessment of competency must be undertaken by a registered veterinarian followed by an annual competency check.
Research Services will be developing a streamlined process to support research staff and students in meeting these requirements.
