I hope you are all enjoying the change in weather. It's been a difficult winter for many of us and the sunshine is welcome. ANU has announced a recovery plan to address the financial impact of COVID on university finances. You can read all about it here and you will have a chance to take part in the consultation process via your school. I encourage you to raise any concerns you have.
I'd like to congratulate Nutsinee Kijbunchoo, from the School of Physics for winning the ANU 3MT 2020 for her presentation “Catching the Waves in the Sea of Noise”, Jessica Sharmin Rahman, from School of Computer Science won people’s choice. You can view the other excellent 3MT competitors here early next week. ANU Visualise your Thesis winner, Anthony Leung is still in the running at the University of Melbourne final - we wish him all the best.
Congratulations to all the people who have completed their program this month. If you are close to completion but need some motivation, please apply for a place in one of our 2 upcoming Thesis Boot Camps listed below. These will run face to face, in a COVID safe way and will be a nice opportunity to connect with others and get up to 20,000 words written by Christmas! I hope to meet some of you there.
