New milestones e-forms are coming so finish your old ones now. We’ve been revamping the milestones process and it will soon be electronic. Lots of consultation and testing has gone in to the new eForms which are fully online (no more upload/download) and will send reminders about actions needed (no more chasing your supervisors). We will let you know when the eForms go live within the next few months. Anyone with milestones outstanding should complete them now. It will be much simpler to finish milestones that have been started in the old system and start fresh from your next milestone in the new system. There will be transition arrangements available for a period but I urge you to finish off those half-finished ones now. And remind your supervisors to do their bit if that’s where it’s stuck. Do you know about the strategic planning process going on over the next few months at ANU? You have the chance to shape the ANU’s strategic direction for the next 10 years. Come to a public forum on any one of the 12 themes. The first HDR one is on June 7th (see http://www.anu.edu.au/about/strategic-priorities for more details).
As winter draws nearer, I’d like to remind everyone about personal safety and security on campus (and in Canberra), especially after hours. The ANU's Safety and Security website has more information, including an excellent FAQ that you should have a look at.

The Research School of Psychology is looking for current postgraduate students studying within Australia to participate in our study which aims to better understand what students value from their research supervisor.
The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, and involves a choice based task where respondents are presented with a number of hypothetical supervisors and asked to indicate the one they find most desirable.
