The Productive Academic Series
|
Our productivity series is designed to help you meet the expectations of your job or research degree within a reasonable working week. During the PhD we are taught what the outcome of good academic work looks like, but we are left to work out how through trial and error. What’s the best way to keep track of and progress big projects amid innumerable distractions? How do you stay focused when your work is constantly interrupted? How do you manage a writing pipeline? What feedback do you need to be successful?
All our workshops draw on the most current research about cognition and attention. We will open your mind to new ways of working and show you how to effectively use technology to tame that work beast.

Expressions of interest still open for the Statistics Boot Camp!
|
Go on a three-day ‘deep dive’ boot camp designed to help you write a Data Analysis Plan and identify the statistics you need to conduct your research. This Boot Camp is for people just beginning their research and using quantitative data analysis to answer their research questions. This Boot Camp will be run by Associate Professor Richardson, who has over two decades of experience in teaching introductory statistics to undergraduates, so she knows all about the statistics hesitancy that some candidates bring to their research. She has published research on innovative ways to bring statistics to life, and on the difficulties in writing statistically because of the language ambiguities involved. EOI Closes on Thur 20 Apr 2023.
