Congratulations to our national Citation recipients
Three of the university's most outstanding educators Dr Beth Beckmann, Dr Andrew Bradly and Dr Yuki Itani-Adams were yesterday announced as recipients of the 2013 Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning by the Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT).
These awards are presented on a national level and awarded to those who have made a significant contribution to the quality of student learning over a sustained period. A summary of the awardees and their contribution is as follows:
Dr Elizabeth Beckmann: Centre for Higher Education, Learning and Teaching, Office of the Vice-Chancellor:
"For initiating academics into the secret art of teaching through an exemplary professional development program."
Dr Andrew Bradly: Research School of Management, College of Business and Economics:
"For sustained excellence in developing and teaching engaging curricula that bridges theory practice in management and international business education."
Dr Yuki Itani-Adams: Japan Centre, School of Culture, History and Language, ANU College of Asia and the Pacific:
"For sustained excellence in implementing creative and innovative Japanese feedback and assessment methods that allow students to independently incorporate the language into everyday life."
The awards will be presented at a ceremony to be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney on September 17.
