Strategic Research Partnerships

We support ANU researchers with external partners and support major collaborative initiatives.

• Act as the central entry point for external partnership enquiries
• Broker introductions and support early stage scoping and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Coordinate major bids and consortia (CRC, CoE, mission driven initiatives)
• Lead management for key strategic research focused partnerships with Commonwealth and ACT government (ASD CoLab, DCCEEW, TGA)
• Provide training and resources for engagement & collaboration, co design and impact planning
• Maintain partnership governance, due diligence, risk tools and performance monitoring
• Produce capability statements, partner briefs and case studies

Commercialisation & Intellectual Property

Our team helps ANU researchers turn ideas into real-world impact through practical and strategic support across the commercialisation journey — from IP protection, licensing and negotiations to startup creation. We work across all disciplines and career stages, while also shaping ANU’s IP policy and startup framework, managing due diligence and risk, and building a stronger culture of innovation through partnerships, training, events and storytelling.
