Planning underway for 2015 UniForum
The University's participation in UniForum is sponsored by the Executive Director Administration and Planning and the survey is administered through the Service Improvement Group. Planning has commenced for the 2015 administration which will be the University's 4th year of participation. The 2015 survey will run from 23 February - 6 March 2015 and will involve collecting data on all Professional staff that worked to support research and teaching activity in 2014. The data gathering exercise will be facilitated by Primary Contacts and Survey Respondents located throughout the University.
The UniForum Benchmarking Project involves a collection of 18 Australian and New Zealand universities. The project is an important mechanism to gather information on the University's professional staff profile and the cost of providing support services to research and teaching. Participation in the project enables cross-institutional benchmarking.
A range of information is collected to support the project, including data gathered through the Professional Staff Activity Survey (PSAS). This survey uses a standardised activity framework to measure resourcing and time allocations across 138 activities and also captures reporting relationships for all professional staff. The survey provides ANU with important insights into our service operations and assists in making informed decisions relating to areas such as service delivery costs, organisation design, process redesign and investment priorities.
