About Us

The Human Research Ethics Team are part of the Research Ethics Office within the Office of Research and Information Services. 

Human Ethics officers provide training and advice to ANU staff and students about human research ethics. They also support the ANU Human Research Ethics Committees and the ethics application process. 

The Ethics office ensures that the Institution fulfils its reporting obligations to NHMRC, NIH and ANU Council

Please note: The Human Ethics Team does not approve Human Research Ethics Applications (HREA). HREA submissions are reviewed and approved by the appropriate ANU Human Ethics Committee.
