Internal Sponsorships

The Enrolments and Fees Office sets up internal sponsorships for various teaching areas or Divisions within the ANU. If a particular area within the ANU wishes to sponsor a student, then they can do so by completing the Notification of Internal Sponsorship Form. An internal sponsorship can be set up to cover the entire or a part of the student's tuition fees, including domestic tuition fees (DTF), international student fees (ISF), student services and amenities fee (SA Fee), overseas student health cover (OSHC) and higher education contribution scheme (HECS). 

The purpose of the Notification of Internal Sponsorship Form is to establish an agreement, whereby the relevant individual or area (School or College) agrees to take on the responsibility of covering the sponsored tuition fees using the nominated ledger account. The forms will need to be submitted to sponsorships@anu.edu.au in order for the Enrolments and Fees Office to assess and apply the sponsorships in Student Administration System.

Please note that:

  • It is mandatory to fill the Notification of Internal Sponsorship Form, and ensure relevant delegate signatures are provided. We will not accept incomplete forms. 

    Students who wish to apply for an exemption of the admission deposit requirement must submit a fully completed form at the point of accepting their offer of study. The form must be included with their Offer Acceptance Declaration and emailed to acceptance@anu.edu.au for coursework students, or hdr.admissions@anu.edu.au for HDR students.

  • The sponsorships can only be setup in the Student Administration System for a particular teaching period, including academic year (e.g. 2025) or academic sessions (e.g. 3520, 3530, 3540...). Sponsorships cannot be set up by a date or time range. Please nominate the sessions required in the Notification of Internal Sponsorship form accordingly.

  • The form should be completed and forwarded to the Enrolments and Fees Office, or relevant admissions team before the start of semester for the period which the student is to be sponsored for
     
  • If an internal sponsorship is to be withdrawn for a student, then the relevant area will need to contact Enrolments and Fees Office as soon as possible, so that the sponsorship can be removed in the system.
