SCAM WARNING: ANU will never send you a direct link to change your password. Please continue to be vigilant and ensure that you are on a secure ANU page or system before entering your password.

Identity Manager is an online tool where you can change your account information or reset your password. You can also set security questions to help recover your password or passphrase if you forget it.

Your identity password is your main password for accessing UDS, HORUS, ISIS, and Outlook. Other applications connected to this password may need to be reconnected after a password change.

Logging in

  1. Go to identity.anu.edu.au.
  2. Enter your login information:
    • User ID: Your University ID (e.g. u1234567)
    • Password: Identity password

Note: The first time you log in to ANU Identity, you will be asked to change your password and set five challenge questions. You must answer all five questions with answers longer than three characters to access the system.

Password requirements

Your new password must contain at least 17 characters, and must be reset every six months.

Reminders will be sent 15 days and 3 days before your password expires. If you don't reset it in time, you won't be able to log in to certain ANU systems until you update your identity password.

As a general tip, use a phrase or a sentence, instead of just one word, for better security.

These changes enhance the protection of the University and follow best practice industry standards.
