Padlet is an online canvas designed to collaboratively share and organise small posts.
Why use Padlet
Padlets can be visually appealing spaces used to collect, organise, and present anything. They can be easily shared for collaboration, open to all or made private to a given group of participants. You can use Padlet in courses, encouraging synchronous or asynchronous interaction in whole class discussions and in group work.
Who has Access
Padlet is available to all ANU staff members. ANU has an Enterprise (Backpack) licence for use in Learning and Teaching.
Using this licence you can create an unlimited number of Padlets, and invite others to participate in these Padlets. Other participants can be invited individually using their ANU email address, or you can generate a link or QR code to send to a whole group of people, e.g. a class, all within ANU.
Activating your Padlet account
ANU staff can create and access their Padlet account as follows:
- Go to https://anu.padlet.org
- Select Continue with SAML
- Enter your University email address in UniID format (u1234567@anu.edu.au)
- Select Login with Australian National University SSO and sign in with your ANU UniID and password
- Your Padlet account will be registered and you will be directed to your dashboard.
Using other Padlet accounts
The alternative to using this ANU login is to create a personal account at padlet.com. These accounts are limited to a total of three Padlets.
Note: if you leave ANU, or do not use your ANU Padlet account for over 18 months, it will be disabled. To keep your Padlets when you leave, you will need to migrate them to another Padlet account.
