System development starts on salary based accruals

The Transition to Salary Based Accruals functional specification documentation was finished last week. Work began on the system at the end of the week and will need a few extra days to make the needed system modifications. This is a change from the original timing. The extra development time will push testing out by one week. Although testing is moved back, the project is still on track to be completed before the end of the year.

At the Financial Managers meeting last week, a short presentation was made to provide information on this project. The project scope and timing were discussed as well as the reporting impact. Full testing documentation and system access will be provided by the Finance Team before testing begins.
