Linux Eduroam connection guide
Configuring & Connecting
- Click the Gnome Connection Manager dropdown
- Select Eduroam (NOTE: You must be in range of an eduroam network for it to appear)
- Change authentication settings

Enter your login information:
- Username: University ID and domain (eg. 'u1234567@anu.edu.au' or 'u1234567@unsw.edu.au' etc)
- Password: password from your institution
- For CA Certificate: Choose No CA certificate is required for initial eduroam connectivity.
- NetworkName: eduroam
- Wireless Security: WPA Enterprise
- EAP Method: PEAP
- Key Type: TKIP or CCMP
- Phase2 Type: MSCHAPV2
- Click Connect
- Connection Details
Notes for Linux
- Eduroam should work on any linux distribution running a recent version of Gnome Network Manager
- We only provide instructions for Ubuntu as the process will be similar for all distributions
